Key Responsibilities

As a Junior Data Engineer at Squarera, you will:

• Design, build, and maintain efficient and reliable data pipelines using SQL and ETL tools.

• Collaborate with data analysts, engineers, and other stakeholders to collect requirements and deliver high-quality data solutions.

• Clean, transform, and validate large datasets to ensure accuracy and usability for business reporting.

• Ensure data integrity and consistency across multiple systems and platforms.

• Monitor and troubleshoot existing data workflows to maintain optimal performance.

• Write, review, and optimize SQL queries for faster processing and accuracy.

• Contribute to technical documentation and participate in peer code reviews to uphold quality standards.

• Support the development of new data models and contribute to the company’s overall data architecture.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Experience: 6 months to 1 year of experience in data engineering or a related technical role.

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL (joins, window functions, CTEs, and aggregations).

• Database Knowledge: Familiarity with relational databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.

• ETL Experience: Basic understanding of data pipelines, data cleaning, and transformation processes.

• Cloud Platforms: Exposure to AWS, GCP, or Azure is a plus.

• Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration abilities.

• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail.

Preferred Skills (Optional but Advantageous)

• Hands-on experience with Python or other scripting languages.

• Familiarity with workflow management tools such as Airflow or DBT.

• Understanding of modern data warehousing solutions like Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift.
