We are currently hiring a Lab Coordinator in Nayab Labs & Diagnostic Centre, Islamabad, who will play a key role in managing daily laboratory operations, ensuring timely logistics, and maintaining quality standards across all departments.

Job Overview

The Lab Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the daily workflow of the laboratory, ensuring efficient sample management, and maintaining compliance with local health and safety regulations. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate between multiple teams to ensure smooth lab operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily laboratory activities to ensure efficient operations.

• Manage staff schedules, sample pickups, and deliveries to ensure timely processing.

• Oversee the logistics of sample transportation, ensuring secure handling and proper documentation.

• Maintain accurate records of inventory, supplies, and laboratory equipment to prevent shortages or downtime.

• Monitor laboratory operations to ensure compliance with IHRA, PHC, PNRA, and ISO standards.

• Support the quality assurance process by reviewing test results and verifying standard procedures.

• Collaborate with the reporting team to ensure timely delivery of results to physicians and clients.

• Serve as a point of contact for client communication, addressing queries and ensuring professional service delivery.

• Assist in training new lab staff on procedures, safety protocols, and operational guidelines.

• Maintain confidentiality and integrity of all patient and testing information in accordance with institutional policies.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or a related field.

• Prior experience in laboratory coordination or healthcare logistics will be preferred.

• Strong understanding of laboratory workflows, sample handling, and documentation standards.

• Excellent organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.

• Ability to manage teams and coordinate effectively under pressure.

• Proficiency in computer applications, including MS Office and laboratory management software.

• Familiarity with healthcare quality standards and safety compliance procedures.
